GSC SOLICITORS ADVISES UNIVERSAL MUSIC ON 177,000sq ft PRE LET OF PROMINENT KINGS CROSS BUILDING

One of the largest pre lets in the London office market in 2015

 We are delighted to announce that we have advised longstanding client Universal Music on a pre-let of the entire 177,000 sq ft of office space at Four Pancras Square, King’s Cross.

Universal Music will take a long lease when the building completes in summer 2017 and will join global media firm Havas, Google, Louis Vuitton and PRS for Music amongst others, in London’s latest creative hub.

In addition to the 10 storeys of offices, the building, which sits prominently at the head of the square, features a roof-top garden, balconies at all levels, a 10,000 sq ft destination restaurant and dedicated cycle access.

GSC head of real estate Harvey Posener led the team with partners Amee Popat and Matthew Phillips said: “We are delighted to have acted for Universal on this major transaction, which is one of the most significant pre-lets this year. This will bring together all Universal’s businesses in one place for the first time providing opportunities for collaboration and inspiration with other major media players literally on their doorstep.”

Universal Music, whose labels include Island, Polydor, Virgin EMI and Decca, is home to successful artists from across the musical spectrum including James Bay, Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Mumford & Sons, The Rolling Stones, Sam Smith, Take That and U2 as well as global superstars such as Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Eminem.
